FAQ

Are walk-ins welcomed?

Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Saturday on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (917) 531-1448 to check availability, or make an appointment using our online Tattoo Request Form .

Booking An Appointment

Appointments are made by filling out our online Tattoo Request Form with your chosen artist. Once we receive your request, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

For your consultation, bring high-resolution reference images and be prepared to leave a $100 deposit (cash or credit), which will be applied to the final cost of your tattoo. If you’re traveling, you can email us at [email protected] with your travel dates, design details (including images), and your preferred artist.

Can I see my tattoo design before the appointment? We require a $100 deposit to confirm your appointment before any design work begins. Typically, your drawing will be ready on the day of your tattoo appointment, and adjustments can be made at that time. If you’d like to see the design beforehand, please make arrangements directly with your artist. For larger pieces or cover-ups, the artist may draw directly on your skin.

Cost & Payment

Cost: Tattoos start at $100. Hourly rates range from $200 to $250, depending on the artist. Single-session tattoos are priced per piece, while multi-session tattoos are charged hourly.

Deposits: $100 deposits can be paid via Venmo or CashApp for non-local clients, but please contact us first before sending any payments.

Consultations: Book a consultation for an exact quote and to discuss your budget and final cost.

Payments: We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards (AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, Discover).

Tipping: Tipping is encouraged if you're happy with your tattoo! A standard tip is 15-20%, but any amount is appreciated. Tips can be made in cash or by card.

Preparing For Your Tattoo

1. All procedures REQUIRE a government issued photo ID such as a license or passport. No exceptions.

2. Please arrive on time or even a little early to your appointment. Everyone’s time is very important.

3. A good night’s sleep and a good meal a few hours before hand is best.

4. If you have children, we ask that you please leave them at home.

5. Please know, we only allow one person to accompany you during your tattoo unless otherwise discussed with artist and allowed.

6. We have a zero tolerance policy towards tattooing anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Prepare for pain
There are many ways to prepare for the pain. Some places hurt more than others, like the ribs and sternums. BREATHE , HYDRATE , STEADY YOURSELF and REMAIN CALM 🙂

Can I use numbing creams?
We recommend researching numbing creams carefully, as some work better than others. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to your artist for guidance.

Tattoo Aftercare

1. Leave the bandage on for at least 3 hours after your session.

2. Remove bandage and wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap.

3. Gently pat dry with a clean towel, and let it air dry for a couple of minutes.

4. Clean the tattoo with water 2-3 times throughout the first day.

5. With clean hands: Apply a very thin coat of A&D vitamin ointment 2-3 times for the first 3 days.

6. Be sure to wear loose clothing and allow tattooed skin to breathe for those 3 days.

7. For the following 7-14 days, lightly apply fragrance-free lotion 2-3 times daily or as needed. Cetaphil and Aquaphor are good, but any non-scented lotion will do the trick.

8. Your tattoo will scab and peel lightly (flake). This is completely normal while your tattoo is healing.

9. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH AT YOUR TATTOO. This will interrupt the healing process and damage it. NO SWIMMING, or SOAKING for two weeks (showers are okay). DO NOT expose to sun for at least 4 weeks.

10. When tattoo is healed, apply sunscreen frequently when exposed to the sun.

Specialty Tattoos & Cover Ups

Do you do henna or temporary tattoos?
We do not offer henna or temporary tattoos. All of our tattoos are permanent.

Do you do ultraviolet or black light tattoos?
No, we do not. We cannot ensure the safety of the chemicals used in those inks, so we choose not to offer them.

Do you do white ink tattoos?
Yes, but this is handled on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to visit us or schedule a consultation to discuss your design with one of our artists.

Can you fix or cover up my existing tattoo?
We’re happy to fix or cover up old tattoos. The best approach is to arrange a consultation, either in person or via video, so the artist can evaluate your tattoo and plan the design.

Is your shop licensed / clean?

Every artist in our shop is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and trained in bloodborne pathogens and cross-contamination prevention. We prioritize your safety by using sterile, single-use gloves and needles, and all other supplies are medically sterilized.
